If the Republican speaks then lets hope it's not a filibuster.

The Buddhist is asking "What is the sound of one halyard clapping?"

and the Kiwi is about to go deaf.

A pre-leaving pass:

So, there's cold water splashing everywhere, big waves, fog, and the republican says 'suffering is deserved and if you work hard enough it'll end', the buddhist says 'everything is suffering' the kiwi takes a second to finish her beer and says 'suffering? this is fun!'

When about to face adverse conditions just ask the Physicist for a point of view then in a nano second it will be told that suffering is relative and that there is no such thing as up or down. Oh and watch out for black holes ;-)
